Everything you need to plan a unique vacation in Daytona

Planning Your Daytona Vacation
What you need to know before you go

Besides Daytona Beach, we define the Daytona area to include Flagler Beach and Ormond-by-the-Sea to the north through New Smyrna Beach to the south. These four towns offer more than 36 miles of glimmering Atlantic Ocean beaches and a reputation of providing fun times and excitement to the NASCAR race fans, bikers and college crowds that flock here every year.

But despite it's party-town reputation, Daytona is a great family destination as well -- as long as you avoid race weekends, biker week and spring break.

The beaches along this coast are wider and harder packed than other parts of Florida, making it one of the few beaches where you can drive you car right on the beach. The beaches have a carnival like atmosphere, with lots of shops and vendors offering everything from hot dogs and boogie boards to bicycles and motorcycles.

Picnic on 30 miles of undeveloped shoreline with bays, sand dunes, sea turtles.
