Destin originated as a small fishing village, and has retained the moniker of "the world's luckiest fishing village". For anglers, Destin offers both the chance to fish in the pristine emerald blue green waters of the Gulf of Mexico as well as shallow water fishing in the Choctawhatchee Bay and it's fresh water tributaries.
