Destin is right in the heart of the Florida Panhandle and is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Florida. It's powder white beaches and emerald-colored gulf waters has not gone undiscovered -- more than 80 percent of the visitors to the Emerald Coast each year end up in Destin. This causes its share of traffic and parking problems.

Destin originated as a small fishing village, and has retained the moniker of "the world's luckiest fishing village". For anglers, Destin offers both the chance to fish in the pristine emerald blue green waters of the Gulf of Mexico as well as shallow water fishing in the Choctawhatchee Bay and it's fresh water tributaries.
