What you need to know before you go

A natural reef system begins just three miles from the Destin Pass -- limestone rock ledges covered with soft corals, sponges, spiney lobster, and an abundance of tropical fish. Destin's reefs range from two to ten feet in height at a depth of 80 to 110 feet.

Excellent wreck diving is also available at three sunken barges, two Liberty ships, an LST landing craft, some tugboats, the old Destin bridge and tons of airplane parts discarded from years of Air Force operations in the gulf.
