If you think there's nothing to do at Disney World except ride the same old rides and stand in the same old lines, you're mistaken. It seems that all around Disney World there are lots of "hidden" Mickeys. Hidden in maps, shadows, well placed stones, or even table settings, once you get the hang of it you are sure to find lots of them and wonder why you never noticed them before. If you want to cheat, a great guidebook is available at Amazon.com called Hidden Mickeys which gives you the locations of a bunch of them. Have fun!
If you're looking for a great place to take the family without the huge lines you find elsewhere, check out Old Town in Kissimmee. Old Town is a unique combination of rides, amusements, a haunted house, restaurants, shops and bars. Plus there's always something fun going on there like an antique car show on Saturday night and live entertainment. The antique car show is definitely a fun night. The car enthusiasts come out in droves to strut their cars and mingle with each other. Early in the night they parade the cars through the streets of Old Town, and then the cars remain on display throughout the night. If you're heading there for the rides, be sure to get a wrist band to save money over paying for each ride individually - cost was $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends, but I think they've gone up recently.
