Zoos & Aquariums in Space Coast
What you need to know before you goThe Brevard Zoo, just north of Melbourne, is part zoo and part animal adventure. For instance, the zoo allows your to kayak through the zoo on your own, and gives you the opportunity to pet a giraffe. All-in-all a 'must see' for any family with young kids that are visiting the space coast.
To experience the more natural side of Florida, you can visit Jungle Adventures Nature Park in Christmas (just west of the Space Coast on the way to Orlando) where you can take a Jungle Swamp Cruise and be surrounded by hundreds of alligators.
Traveling even further west towards Orlando, you will find the Central Florida Zoo -- a more traditional zoo in Stanford, Florida
